Aug 20, 2015 at 21:14 | comment | added | LirC | Does anyone have a link for version 29 that will run on VMware version 6.0.7? I have a 32-bit Windows, so the latest version won't work here. I got this error: appliance50-2014-vmware.vmx was created by a VMware product that is incompatible with this version of VMware Player and cannot be used.
Jul 13, 2015 at 19:42 | comment | added | NdalilaTony | @wallek876 I'm using the ubuntu-based appliance and i was using the code in the walkthrough. I just realized that the code in the walkthrough is different from that in the src4m. So I decided to copy-paste bounce.c code to gedit, then tried to compile. I got some errors but which were resolved in another thread at cs50.stackexchange.com/questions/7607/…. I think I'm okay now. Thanks for helping me figure out the problem.
Jul 12, 2015 at 21:27 | comment | added | wallek876 | @NdalilaTony i assume version 29 is from the ubuntu based appliance, Are you working with the files in src5m(2013) or src4m(2014)? how is your include statement exactly?
Jul 12, 2015 at 19:27 | comment | added | NdalilaTony | @wallek876, I think he's referring to the " 'gwindow.h' file not found error". My appliance's version is 29 and I still get this error.

May 23, 2015 at 22:50 | comment | added | Alex Wang | Thank you all for this. I was having the same issues. I checked my version number only to realize that it was 19-2. I guess I'm also on the old fedora version from 2013. Going to go update the appliance tonight.

Mar 12, 2015 at 16:22 | comment | added | Stealth | Thank you so much. I was just reading the website you referred above. You're right and I already started downloading the new version. Thanks again
Mar 12, 2015 at 16:18 | comment | added | wallek876 | @Stealth The appliance you are using is the old one based on fedora, and you can not update more than 19-2. But there is a new version based on ubuntu for this year course, to switch to this last version you need to install it from scratch you can not update. here in the manual is explained manual.cs50.net/appliance/2014/#how_to_update_appliance
Mar 12, 2015 at 16:07 | comment | added | Stealth | Thanks for the answer but I am confused about the version of the Appliance. If you look closely at the picture above, it says "19.2" as the version of the appliance (3rd line from the bottom). Isnt this the most recent version of the appliance?
