There seems to be a useful function -- strcasecmp -- in the strings.h library (notably different from string.h). However, when I try to amend this to my header information (e.g., #include <strings.h>), the make dictionary doesn't work. I can't parse the make errors, though, but I'm sure it's related to this. Any hints on how to get access to that library? Or am I not allowed to use that function?

you don't make dictioanry. the target dictionary is not defined in the makefile. you should make speller or just make.

  • Ok. That was a dumb question.

  • @Richard not really. at least you know how to interpret the error message that you got now.
