When I try the command make hello-1 The error message:

make: *** No rule to make target `hello-1'. Stop.

Comes up

When I list my directory I see

hello hello.c hello.txt

Any help would be great

There either has to be a file called hello-1.c in the directory for default mechanisms to work, or a rule in the makefile to tell make how to build hello-1. (makefile is in a later lesson) If you make hello it should work fine.
