When I leave CS50 Finance for a while, it logs me out. Why?

If you mean you have to log in back to a site you are logged in, after you leave it for a few seconds, the reason is probably a lack of _SESSION. What a session basically does is save a little file, called cookie, inside your hard drive, so the next time you visit the same site, it can look for that file, and if it finds it, to know that it's you and let you inside without the need to log back in. If this happens with a site that doesn't belong to you, and you have cookies enabled in your browser, I'm afraid there is nothing you can do. On the other hand, if this is a site belonging to you, you should keep going through the lessons and eventually you will learn about it (I think in ). Or you can go directly at PHP's documentation and read more about session handling.

  • I am not mean it's a problem, I think this should be server setting – Sammy Jiang Jul 15 '15 at 22:58
  • I think my answer is pretty explanatory. What do you mean? – ChrisG Jul 16 '15 at 6:00

I think it is the kind of settings in the server not your computer
