I'am having a hard time installing the VMware Fusion 7 in my Mac (OSX 10.10.2): i have downloaded VMware Fusion 7 but when i try to install it, I get the message "file not found". What does this means? Can someone help me please?

  • Have you followed all of the instructions from CS50's guide? – i_am_david Jul 22 '15 at 21:42

Guillermo: Try closing the window (the one that gives you the error) and the installer for the VMware in case it's still open. Then look in your Applications folder. The VMware should be there. From then on, follow the steps for installing the appliance (the .ova file you're also meant to download).

If that doesn't work, go to Window in VMware, and you'll see Library. Remove whatever Virtual Machine is listed there.

The problem happens because VMware is trying to open a Virtual Machine that doesn't exist.

  • Thanks Irene! The VMware now works. – Guillermo Edx Jul 23 '15 at 23:42
