I'm currently working on adding the linear search and receive the following error when I try to compile...

enter image description here

Also, when changing the code for helpers.c, is it necessary to compile that file or just find.c? I've read some other posts on this but it's still unclear. Thanks in advance for your help!

The error message suggests that you use the sort function, without first declaring it, or including it. If you have implemented sort in helpers.c make sure helpers.c includes at the top the helpers.h file, and that so does find.c. Then you can run make find.

There is a Makefile, so you just need to run make and it will compile everything.

  • Because it doesn't answer the question, neither helps in any other way. – ChrisG Jul 22 '15 at 23:10
