I've tested my code extensively and it successfully loads the dictionary to the chained hashtable with both the small dictionary and with a subsection of the large dictionary, but when I try to load the full dictionary into the data structure I get a segmentation fault at around the 1689th value.

Here's the error message:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0xb7e751a8 in __isoc99_fscanf (stream=0x8051000, format=0x8049479 "%s") at isoc99_fscanf.c:30 30 isoc99_fscanf.c: No such file or directory.

Can anyone point me towards how to properly debug this/what it is that's going wrong (presumably with fscanf?)

Solved!!!! For my 'string' value that I was loading via fscanf into my datastructure, I'd only allocated 15 spaces in the char for the word. Obviously the word that I'd attempted to load was too large for this limitation, so increasing that allocation fixed the issue and loaded the dictionary fully with no problem.
