Did I miss a step in setting up my appliance? I am not sure what invalid ID refers to.

jharvard@appliance (~/Dropbox/pset1a): check50 2014/x/pset1a mario mario.c
Checking............ invalid ID
  • I had renamed successive versions of my mario files as mario-1.c, mario-2.c etc. When I tried to use check50 I got this message invalid ID. Renaming the file to just mario.c solved the problem. – user2384 Sep 3 '14 at 22:08

The correct ID is 2014/x/pset1/mario

so you should run:

check50 2014/x/pset1/mario mario.c

Please notice that there's a forward slash between pset1 and mario. You may just copy that! – Kareem Jun 12 '14 at 9:16
  • Thanks, I did fix the forward slash but still no dice. jharvard@appliance (~/Dropbox/pset1): check50 2014/x/pset1/ mario mario.c Checking............ invalid ID – David M Jun 12 '14 at 18:53

There's no space after the forward slash between pset1 and mario! – Kareem Jun 12 '14 at 22:00
