Sorry guys, but I'm not used to use gedit, so I use emacs instead

The problem with emacs is that I don't know how to set properly the .emacs file in order to indent lines properly.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you for your help

  • Why can't you use gedit? It's just a text editor and it's really easy to write code in it (against emacs whose purpose is not that).

emacs is more powerful than gedit. Take a look if you want Aug 12, 2015 at 14:29
  • Sure you can also use vim but that doesn't mean it's suitable just because it's more powerfull.

You will probably find all the details in the emacs wiki, particularly this page: Indenting for C

There's a search bar there too for other questions.
