I am having issues with pset5.

I followed the write up and tried to make the code but i imediately get no such file or directory as a reply.

Using ls shows all the files in the directory. So i don't know what the issue is.

I have attached a screenshot.enter image description here

I have not modified the code at all yet, so the dictionary file should be where it's suppose to be yet it doesn't work.

I just followed the P Set 5 article that says we can compile using make but i get this error.

How do i fix it ?

You appear to have appended the word asymptomatically to dictionary.c somehow (or removed a space between them)- I suspect somewhere in Makefile - cant tell for sure as I have only just finished pset4 & haven't started this pset yet

  • That didn't make sense. I'm not sure what you mean by appended the word..

  • Dictionary.c plus asymptomatically without a space in between makes the name of the file that clang cannot find - so, somehow they have been connected in the files, either in make/ Makefile or how you passed them to the make program. Is that a bit better? appended basically means added something to the end of another thing. Commented Aug 17, 2015 at 21:19
