I started cs50 last year in October and wasn't able to finish it. But now I'm continuing onto my journey in which I am picking up from pset6. However, I don't seem to be too familiar with the system (and possibly could've forgot about some stuff) that after I tried running and checking my code it doesn't compile. The error I got is this:

:( server compiles \ expected output, not standard error of "server4.c: In function 'indexes':\nserv..."

Does anyone know what this error means??

Thanks

  • I think that error means that you need to get your CS50 chops before you jump into check50. Perhaps review some lectures and shorts and other class material. And 2016 pset6 is very different from 2015 pset6. Make sure you are using the right instructions and repo code. Jun 25 '16 at 18:55
  • I'll try to review the lectures again then, does this error code simply means that there's some error in my code so the server can't run through properly then (I don't quite get what you mean by getting my CS50 chops) ?? Thanks so much

  • From Merriam-Webster chops: skill or excellence in a particular field or activity (such as acting or playing music). The error code simply means your program does not compile. Full stop. Jun 26 '16 at 22:20
