In the terminal, it says:

~/workspace $

In other words, it's missing my username in the beginning. Is this causing the problem when I try to compile? Or what could the problem be?

(FYI: I do locate the folder the file is in and the file name does end with .c)

Thanks!

  • where is your file you are compiling? under workspace Folder or somhere where else? I guess your file is in other Folder and you are invoking make at workspace. cd folderName and then try

  • how are you writing the make command? make filename.c or make filename without the .c extention? it should be without extention of the file.

  • Possible duplicate of Error: "make: *** No rule to make target `mario'. Stop."
