dictionary.c doesn't compile, but i am not getting the usual error when I try to compile it. Instead I get something I haven't seen before and I have no clue what it is trying to tell me. Does anyone know? Here is what I get:

clang -ggdb3 -O0 -Qunused-arguments -std=c11 -Wall -Werror -c -o dictionary.o dictionary.c
clang dictionary.o -lcs50 -lm -o dictionary

you are trying to compile dictionary, at this point should know that you can not compile a program that does not have main () function instead must compile speller.c, plus you have in pset5 directory a file called makefile, which will to do all the work for you, so you must do:

make speller

or more simple:

make

  • Well thats what I did all the time. I only started using make dictionary because, make and make speller are happy, but when I run check50 it says speller doesn´t compile. Which it does though. And also the programm is running. So I thought maybe I have to run make dictionary. This is confusing!

  • Many comment on that check 50 does not work well, I would try it later, but you can not make dictionary
