When I tried to visit ide50-username.cs50.io where username is my username, as the instructions told me to, I don't get to cs50 finace login page,but instead I am getting to a page called index of/ and then a listing of all the psets.. . How can I get to cs50 finance login page?

Try apache50 stop && apache50 status to see whether you have a zombie Apache2 process. (This has been happening to some people since the recent update50 to version 66.)
If you are stuck with an unstoppable Apache2, you can use this command to terminate the zombie Apache2 processes with extreme prejudice:
sudo killall -9 apache2
After that, apache50 stop and apache50 start should work again.
If that's not your problem, make certain that you hold down the shift key when reloading your browser, to make certain that you are not displaying an old version of the website from your browser's cache.

apache50 status will tell you what the root is. Your result would happen if you started apache50 with workspace as your root, instead of workspace/pset7/public (or whatever it is in your environment).

i am in the correct workspace... apache50 tells me : "apache is running with /home/ubuntu/workspace/pset7/public" Maybe I am typing it in the wrong place? Aug 30, 2016 at 16:16
