I was wondering about the indexes function for server.c. I am currently trying to implement it. As per the specs, I have to enable my program to find out if a file named index.html or index.php exists in a path to a directory. But isn't it too restrictive. As far a directory is concerned, it could have any filename like foo.html, naruto.php or the like. I do not get why we are asked to check for index.html or index.php in particular. Am I missing something? I am sorry if I am being silly.. Any sort of insightful answer would be appreciated. Cheers!

You'll upload server.c to the staff's computer and the file will be tested there in their directories, not in your directories.

And they decided that the files will be called index.
