Doing on https://ide.cs50.io

typing check50 cs50/2018/x/hello hello.c in ~/workspace/pset1/hello/ $

And got Uploading.. Unexpected token <

Just check50 cs50/2018/x/hello, without mentioning hello.c (as it used to be years ago). The checker will get a list of files to upload.

  • You're right, the extra parameter is just ignored (as hello.c already is in the list of files to upload), there's no benefit nor harm in that one. But your explanation doesn't seem logical: The screenshot shows you already were at v135. Maybe not update50 fixed it, but the following workspace restart. If you previously ran update50, but did not restart, it might have left your system in an inconsistent state.
