Is the video for the final project really necessary? I don't really have much to present and any technical information is in an "about" section on the website that i've made. Besides, i don't want to make a video; it feels... useless. Any advice as to how i can bypass this requirement would be a life (and time!) saver. Thanks!

It's necessary to qualify a verified certificate. Given that your code does not need to be submitted, the video is the proof that you actually completed your project and is your opportunity to demonstrate it.
