I'm trying to debug in CS50 IDE but I'm continuously receiving this error; debug50: recover: No such file. and if I try to compile it says this "make: *** No rule to make target 'recover'. Stop."

Please, can somebody help, It has been 5 days now since I'm on this problem set.

  • This almost always indicates that you're in the wrong subdirectory when trying to execute debug50 or that the command is incorrect. Same for make. Are you sure that you're in the same directory as the source code file? If you can't figure it out, please post a screenshot of your IDE showing the attempted execution of the command. – Cliff B Oct 12 '19 at 18:28
  • Thanks a lot, @CliffB. That's exactly where I was going wrong, I was trying to debug50 while not in the recover's subdirectory. – S Huzaifa Oct 21 '19 at 12:10
