I first signed for CS50x in 2018, watched the first few lectures and then stopped. I never submitted any problem set back then. This year, I signed up again and this time upgraded for a verified certificate. It says on the course's homepage to submit the Final Project anytime before 31 December 2019, but I'm worried that I may not be able to finish everything by then. Can I still continue next year and get the certificate?

Yes, your progress from 2019 will carry forward to the 2020 course, but you'll need to complete the course using the 2020 materials. We'll publish transition instructions in January (much like the big yellow box on the front page of the current 2019x course.)
