https://us-west-2.console.aws.amazon.com/cloud9/ide/393d9edee5b74d5abb364a24c01b987f?# I just finished the tideman problem, and everything works fine when I use it in the ide. However, when I run check50 it says "code failed to compile." How do I fix this? I didn't use the locked array that the problem originally set up, and added a function (merge), could these things have anything to do with it?

Can't see your code, but the spec says:

You should not modify anything else in tideman.c other than the implementations of the vote, record_preferences, add_pairs, sort_pairs, lock_pairs, and print_winner functions (and the inclusion of additional header files, if you’d like). You are permitted to add additional functions to tideman.c, so long as you do not change the declarations of any of the existing functions.

Did you alter anything in tideman.c (in main for example) or change any of the function declarations?
