When I try to submit Pset1, in the terminal, it always does this:

submit50 cs50/problems/2020/x/mario/less
Connecting......
Authenticating.....
GitHub username: A***********8144
GitHub password: ***************
Verifying......
Make sure your username and/or password are valid and submit50 is enabled for your account. To enable submit50, please go to https://submit.cs50.io in your web
browser and try again. If you're using GitHub two-factor authentication, you'll need to create and use a personal access token with the "repo" scope instead of your
password. See https://cs50.ly/github-2fa for more information!
Submission cancelled.

What to do? I even have Submit 50 enabled NO SUBMISSIONS PICTURES

Are you using your actual GitHub password or your access token's code? If you have enabled two-factor authentication with GitHub and you haven't created an access token, you will need to create one for CS50 as GitHub no longer allows submit50 to connect using your regular sign-in credentials.

You can follow this link to learn how to do this: Creating a Personal Access Token on Github.

Keep in mind that, once your code has been created and you close/navigate away from the page, you cannot re-see that access token's code. It will need to be regenerated.

Hope this helps, if not, I can try to help/clarify further.

  • Sorry, but it isn't working. Thanks for helping though – Young Physists Jan 16 at 7:24
  • Are you submitting from your terminal or from the CS50 IDE? – Robert S. Pratt Jan 16 at 13:35
  • I'm submitting from the terminal window of CS50 IDE – Young Physists Jan 16 at 15:11
  • And, when it asks for your GitHub password, you provided the really long code that was provided when you created the token, right? Not your password? Sorry, just trying to be clear so we can best get to the bottom of this as I am finding any issues with submit50 on my end. – Robert S. Pratt Jan 16 at 15:35
