I feel like I am doing ok at understanding the logic of my code while I'm sitting down writing it. However, once I am done writing upon revisiting the code I find it hard to understand again and follow the logic.

Similarly, I have difficulty understanding code written by other people, is there a method to go about getting better at reading and understanding code?

Apologies if general questions are not allowed on the forum in advance.

  • IMO It's the same way you get to Carnegie Hall. Practice, practice, practice. And hopefully when you revisit code in a longer time frame, say 6 months, not only will you be able to to read and understand it, you will also be impressed by how much your coding skills have improved over time.
