enter image description hereThis is my first post here. I'd like to know why the "code command" did not work for me (code mario.c). I was trying to create a file as the professor did. This command is used by the professor, David J. Malan, in the video of Week 1 of the CS50's Introduction to Computer Science at 55:57. I tried a couple of times but all I got was the message of "command not found". Is the command outdated or am I doing something wrong?

  • No idea what the "code" command is. But it looks like you are really trying to create the executable file from the source code file. Try this: make mario

  • DinoCoderSaurus told me what was wrong. I was using ide.cs50.io but after I read his/her answer to my question here, I began using code.cs50.io . I tried the code command and it worked pretty fine. Thanks.

It looks like you are on ide.cs50.io. That platform is being sunsetted (retired) so you should move to the current platform. The code command is used on VS Code (the current platform) and can be reached at code.cs50.io.
