All of my cs50x problem sets are graded without having submitted the forms at the end of the problem set specifications. Are these forms mandatory if you want the Honor Code certificate? The forms website itself mentions the information is used for educational research purposes. If all of my psets are graded above 0.60% but the forms for the problem sets were not submitted will I receive the certificate?

In each pset in the How to Submit section, you're asked to head to a URL to submit a form.

I'm not sure whether the form submission is mandatory for getting the Honor Code certificate although the section explicitly mentions

Once you have submitted that form (as well as your source code), you are done!

and it's step 2 of 2 of the submission process. this obviously means that your submission is not complete until you submit the forms.

My point is, whether submitting the forms is mandatory or not, they most of the time have good questions on the subjects that were issued in their corresponding week(s) and they always have question whose answers helps the staff improve the course.

So if you care about getting the most out of this course, you should probably submit these forms. If you're rather not interested, probably the answers to the questions that the staff needs are the least thing that you can do for the staff in return to there efforts.

  • No it will not change the grades, the grades are marked by an automated server. Sep 25, 2015 at 23:57
