I had worked on lab8 for a while but it was not completed. Now that I have gone back, when I run http-server index.html and click on the link I get this error: [2023-04-07T23:34:58.289Z] "GET /" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/111.0.0.0 Safari/537.36" [2023-04-07T23:34:58.299Z] "GET /" Error (404): "Not found" [2023-04-07T23:35:05.756Z] "GET /" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/111.0.0.0 Safari/537.36" [2023-04-07T23:35:05.758Z] "GET /" Error (404): "Not found" enter image description here

And on the browser I see a 404 error: enter image description here

I tried to download the lab again and work on a new file but it did not work. Any ideas?

  • I should mention that I have Chrome Version 111.0.5563.146 (Official Build) (64-bit) installed in my system! Commented Apr 8, 2023 at 0:06
  • Does it work if you call http-server (with no argument) at the command line like Brian does in the walkthrough video? Commented Apr 10, 2023 at 12:30

  • @Rutuja Yep. As @DinoCoderSaurus said, I used http-server rather than http-server index.html Commented May 8, 2023 at 12:17
