I am unsure on why my code is only recovering black and grey squares, instead of images. I have tried closing the file img in multiple places, and I still can't seem to solve the problem, I believe it is something I am missing logically. Any help would be greatly appreciated, here is my code:

Hmmm... did you check the sizes of the files that were created? Notice anything conspicuous?

Interesting that the files seem to only have the very top part of the image.

Questions: Where are the output files being closed? When processing the non-signature blocks that contain the rest of the image, is there an open output file? What happens when the code tries to write to a closed file pointer?
