I've returned to CS50 work after a work-required hiatus. I'm working on pset6 but am having a problem with the location of the dictionaries. I've done update50. I've verified that $HOME and echo ~ yield the same result as recommended in this answer. But when I look into /home/cs50/pset6, all I find are the files huff and puff. If I look into /home/cs50/pset5, there I find the dictionaries. But they should be in pset6 directory. Not sure what is going on here.

Here is my terminal session -

jharvard@appliance (/home/cs50/pset6): ls
huff puff

jharvard@appliance (/home/cs50/pset6): cd /home/cs50/pset5

jharvard@appliance (/home/cs50/pset5): ls
challenge dictionaries speller texts

  • I would assume that the /home/cs50 space is a space which i can read but not affect in any way. And thus nothing I've done or haven't done should be the reason I'm seeing files which should be in /home/cs50/pset6 in /home/cs50/pset5 instead.

All set. Without realizing it, I was using Appliance 17 instead of 19, which I already have installed. Picked the wrong menu item.
