I understand that PSET8 is optional, if it is submitted will there be a grade assigned? I have been checking for updates on PSET8 but I have not seen a grade assigned, but I did submit the optional assignment along with the 3 additional features required for submision.

Yes, pset8 should be graded if it was submitted. It should be graded within a maximum of 2 weeks. For more information, see this!
