I completed pset1 recently and I've been wondering about my mario code. My program runs fine and (looks like) it does exactly what it's supposed to.

When I use check50 on the code I get the following:

:( handles a height of 1 correctly
\ expected output, but not " ##\n"
:( handles a height of 2 correctly
\ expected output, but not " ##\n ###\n"
:( handles a height of 23 correctly
\ expected output, but not " ##\n ..."
:( rejects a height of 24
\ expected output, but not " ##\n ..."

I can't figure out what's up, I'm probably just missing something. Why am I failing these check50 tests?

You are printing one extra space character each row.

  • Thank you, I didn't notice that :) Dec 2 '14 at 13:07

You need to print one "#" in the small loop to make the rows, and the other one (the column on the right, with the "\n" on the big loop.

Sorry about the english.

Were you able to fix this issue? Because I have the same problem and I cannot seem to rectify it
