I am doing this course in the honor code track, so no one is really looking into the details of my code and its origin. But I would like to know what are the limits of using code snippets found elsewhere in the web. For example, for the check function in the speller pset I found a page about searching in linked lists (http://faculty.cs.niu.edu/~mcmahon/CS241/Notes/search.html), and build my code based on that. Would that be ok? Or I should code everything from scratch? Thanks

It's ok to build your code based on that.

As long as you don't just copy and paste code found elsewhere and you use your own mind to solve the problem, it's not only allowed to search the web for help with your problem, but also encouraged. Deep inside you know when you have crossed the line of academic honesty. Also that is the main way to implement something you see for the first time. You read the documentation and study examples others have made before you.
