There was ubuntu 14.04 installed on my laptop and wi-fi adjusted according to instructions: https://askubuntu.com/questions/55868/installing-broadcom-wireless-drivers and wi-fi worked properly. Then I installed Appliance 2014 and followed the same instructions but wi-fi doesn't work!

  • Are you running in virtual machine or bare metal??

edit your network interfaces

sudo gedit /etc/network/interfaces

and delete all wlanX interfaces

should be like this

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

auto eth1
iface eth1 inet dhcp

auto eth2
iface eth2 inet dhcp

Save, and close, after that if you have not installed network-manager-gnome, install it

sudo apt-get install network-manager-gnome

If driver is working properly, you should be ready, restart your appliance to apply changes
