I have recently put up my mario code to the cs50 submit page, but got no points for my mario program. I did not use check50 as I am not using the appliance because it does not work with QEMU.

I was pretty confident because the program seemed to be working, I did find a bug in the program where 0 did not work but I did not have enough time to fix that.

I would have gotten the rest of the points though. I just find it annoying that it has to be exact for the program or else it does not work. But, I can't blame them for that because how else are they going to do it I suppose.

Is there a possiblity to revert and try to do pset 1 again? I hope I will be able to install check50 on my computer. (I run GNU/Linux so it will work)

I can post my code if needed, I also have a seperate repository where I keep my cs50 programs.

As it is stated in the CS50 Syllabus, you have until the last day of class to resubmit any and all psets, only your most recent submission will count for your grade, and you can resubmit as many times as you need.

On another note, you will need to get check50 working or install the virtual or physical appliance somehow, as future psets will be much more difficult, and your errors may be hidden from your plain view. They may "look" correct, but they may indeed be wrong under the covers...remember, you are the student and you don't know it all yet ;)

Edited to add: this is of course if you are pursuing a certificate. If you're just auditing the course, then no worries.

  • Thanks. I will attempt to install the applicance somehow and fix my programs. I found this guide on reddit (reddit.com/r/cs50/comments/1xn3gs/…) that shows how to install the different applications on a Linux Mint machine.
