The compiler Clang isn't showing and I'm at a complete lost of why it isn't. Please help me.

bash: clang: command not found cs50

clang

  • given that this looks like your first attempt to compile something, did you run update50 to make sure your environment is current? Also, are you sure that you followed the install procedure for the appliance correctly? – Cliff B Jun 5 '15 at 5:00
  • Cliff B is correct. Another question - have you tried using MAKE HELLO as instructed in CS50? That matters as if it compiles that way then Clang is present and working... – Phil M Jun 5 '15 at 20:42
  • @Clidd B and @ Phil M 'Make Hello' does work. Update won't work. command not found. I looked through my download file and reread the manual. found out that I Installed the wrong appliance for my mac. I just re-install it properly this time and it works. Thank you!! No longer will I install anything half asleep. – Stacey Jun 6 '15 at 0:57
