pset5 root node defitnion (trie)
I'm trying to figure out where/how to define the root node of my trie in dictionary.c. … However, when I try to do
node* root = malloc(sizeof(node));
outsude of either function, the compiler throws me "initializer element is not a compile-time constant".
How do I fix this? …

pset5 root node not freed
Valgrind shows 0 errors, but when I print out the address of my root node, it is not NULL. Hence my unload function (which returns true if root == NULL) does not return true. … I have implemented my root node as a node* and not a separate struct, if that matters.
Does anyone know what I did wrong? …
