VirtualBox is an open source (GPL) program used to create "virtual machines" on Intel or AMD-based computers. You install VirtualBox on your own "host" computer, whether the host OS is Windows, Mac, Linux or Solaris, to enable the installation of a "guest" OS, e.g., the cs50 appliance. For this course, simply download the cs50 appliance and import it into VirtualBox.
