Turns out I read the spec wrong and was returning the wrong string in my lookup function...so silly. All is well now!
I have the same problem, but my work was graded in 2-3 days, so don't worry, the submission probably went through.
I'm an idiot, I passed the wrong variable name (symbol instead of symbols) using render(). Problem fixed.
Found the solution to my problem. If I omitted the malloc line, the original pointer would not be rewritten and I can strcpy into abs_path and query. Thanks for the help!
