I'm starting CS50 Finance and I've reached a small hitch. When I try to load the page "pset7"/localhost (After doing all the first steps listed in the spec), I don't get the CS50 Finance logo, but instead a page which only contains the text "Portfolio"]); ?> This makes me think some sort of error has occured and stopped the page from fully displaying, but I don't know.

  • Try redoing the chmod steps; if that doesn't work, try erasing the pset7 directory, and starting again from the step where you extract it from pset7.zip. It looks to me like a file is missing or lacks read permissions.

  • @AirThomas thanks for your recommendation, but I can open the index.php in my web browser, it just shows as raw code. This makes me think that PHP is not working.

  • Yes, one way this might happen if a PHP include file is missing, corrupt, or can't be read - that's why I suggested repeating some of these steps.

  • I think u should try update50, It may help to solve out the issue to fix missing php module.

I had the same problem until I realized that I had not followed the chmod steps exactly as specified.
