There is kind of wierd issue, few days ago i've checked pset2/initials with check50 and everything was normal at that time. Now I've prepared caesar.c, but something happened, and none of the programs could be checked. Any of check50 2014.fall.pset1.hello hello.c check50 2014.fall.pset1.mario mario.c check50 2014.fall.pset1.greedy greedy.c check50 2014.fall.pset2.initials initials.c check50 2014.fall.pset2.caesar caesar.c returns "Uploading.... server is offline"

I've tried ping cs50.net & ping sandbox.cs50.net - nothing happens. Google is pinging. Also I've tried https://sandbox.cs50.net in browser - it returns HTTP error 503.

Also, I've tried to check https://cs50.statuspage.io/ - everything seem to work normally.

What's going on ?

Why are you trying to run the 2014 checks?

Please see the current spec: http://docs.cs50.net/problems/caesar/caesar.html

and the check50 command is check50 cs50/2017/x/caesar

  • Thank you for you answer, I'm running check50 cs50/2017/x/caesar caesar.c in ~/home/jharvard/cs50/pset2 - the response is the same "Uploading.... server is offline"

  • I've reinstalled cs50 appliance on laptop (no VMWare), previous times check50 worked normally after install of the system, now it doesn't. Maybe, smth changed on cs50 side ?

  • Just one more moment, update50 doens't finish, seems, that it looks for a package Translation-en in the repository, doesn't get it & stucks. If I turn off repository mirros.cs50.net - it updates normally.

  • The course hasn't used the "CS50 Appliance" in several years. It is no longer supported. You should use either the online CS50 IDE (cs50.io) or the offline version of you don't have reliable internet: manual.cs50.net/ide/offline
