I'm really not completely understanding how to get started on sentiments. I think I need to load the positive and negative words into the memory of analyze, but I don't really understand how I go about this. I think I could do the analyzing portion, but I need help understanding the loading part. Any help is appreciated.

You need to read each text file and store the words into some variable (a list is ideal). That way it'll be easier for the analyze method to access the words. Take a look at some of the methods designed for reading files.
