I wonder if someone could please help me to get a browser(any browser!) working well with Scratch?

In Chrome, Scratch looks fantastic but seems buggy beyond belief (right-click dropdowns not working & save process gets stuck in the spinning circle).

When using IE or Firefox both seem to work fine, however, the interface is so tiny that the type is barely readable. Standard zooming that has worked with every other site does not seem to work for this. It enlarges everything on the page except the images, blocks, and text.

Does anybody know how to enlarge the program within IE or Firefox -- or make Google Chrome play nice with Scratch?

Thank you so much for any tips. :)

PS I'm on Windows 7 with a 26 inch screen, and just starting walkthroughs in week one of CS50

I did Scratch in Firefox in Linux. I don't use Windows, but 2 things I would check are:

  1. Make sure Firefox is up to date.
  2. Make sure Adobe Flash plug-in is up to date.

  • Thanks very much for the tips. Scratch is now working with my Chrome, and I'm pretty sure it was the flash that caused and fixed it. :) Commented Nov 3, 2014 at 22:57

Why not try to use the offline version? Could be much better. I am using that one and its been flawless.
