I am working on pset6, after implementing parse(), we are instructed to use check50.

check50 2015.fall.pset6.server1 server.c

At this point, I haven't done any code for query, load() or indexes(). The output for the check was all green, except for the check for file.exe and file that doen't exist. Is is ok?

Query is part of parse, it should be implemented within parse before doing any checking.

  • But the instruction to use check50, comes before the section on query. Commented Oct 23, 2016 at 10:00
  • Didn't notice that, my bad sorry, but it will be easier implementing the whole function than a part and later adding the other part, which can cause bugs. About your original question (which i forgot sorry again) what exactly is the result of those checks?, that will help to identify the problem.

  • \ expected output, not an exit code of 0 Commented Oct 23, 2016 at 20:02
  • That means an error like a segmentation fault is happening, i suggest debugging with gdb or debug50 to find where.
