the generate.c file compiles and runs well and the find.c also compiles and runs well but i don't know why is i can't test them together

In my experience segmentation faults appear when you are trying to access a value outside of the allowed/existing range. Look over your code and you should be able to find the problem.
helpers.c. Not all bugs lead to segmentation fault all the time, some appear on certain occasions, for example large or no load, or pre-sorted array, or other specific circumstances. Or bug happens all the time, but does not show until certain conditions apply.
