As a extra feature I am trying to "Implement the ability to teleport the shuttle instantly to any building on campus, as by selecting that building’s name from a menu."

I have my menu and am using the buildings "root" to select the correct latitude and longitude.

After that I am unsure what I need to do.

I tried

shuttle.position.latitude = BUILDINGS[i].lat;
shuttle.position.longitude = BUILDINGS[i].lng; 
shuttle.update();
viewchange();

but it didn't seem to work.

I would appreciate any hints in relation to this

  • I am having a similar issue. My drop down populates, and I store BUILDINGS[building] as value for each option. I set onclick = teleport(); My teleport function is: teleport(); { var value = $('teleport').val(); shuttle.position.latitude = value.lat shuttle.position.longitude = value.lng shuttle.localAnchorCartesian = V3.latLongAltToCartesian(shuttle.position.latiude, shuttle.position.longitude, shuttle.position.altitude); viewchange(); }

I found I needed to use code a bit like this

shuttle.position.latitude = BUILDINGS[i].lat;
shuttle.position.longitude = BUILDINGS[i].lng; 
shuttle.localAnchorCartesian = 
            V3.latLonAltToCartesian([shuttle.position.latitude, 
                            shuttle.position.longitude, shuttle.position.altitude]);
viewchange();
