I hit restart in Ubuntu and now it's stuck at boot screen at "Restoring resolver state..."
I've try'd waiting, hitting command Q or command W... … How can I force Ubuntu to restart or shut down?

I realized that one can access VMWareFusions menu even when Ubuntu is frozen. On a mac one holds the mousse cursor at the top of the window for a few seconds and the menus appears. …
