I enroled CS50 this summer and it took me approximately all summer to finish it. Since I have time until January 1st to finish my final project, I didn't open my codespace again for a while. Now that I opened VS Code again, it seems that my codespace has been deleted automatically. I wanted to upload and submit my final project, but I need my codespace to do that... What should I do now?

Your code should still be in the code50 repo.If you go to GitHub.com/code50/ you can create a new codespace and it will pull in the files.

The codespace is simply the container, not like the old IDE where the files were stored in it.

  • Thank You for your help. That was the answer of my question. BTW I just opened web based VS Code and there was no problem with my codespace so I used my old codespace and submitted my final project :)) (just I don't know why using the VS Code windows app, it said my codespace has been deleted but using web based VS Code, my codepsace was OK) Commented Dec 30, 2022 at 15:00
  • exactly the same thing is happening to me the only difference I WAS USING THE CODESPACE ACTIVELY. I had submitted finance yesterday and right now i was coding on my final project but all of a sudden i see codespace is deleted or you don't have permission to view it. i can access my codespace on web like you but not o windows app. to top it all my entire code of project is lost as on web i don't see my project folder where i was coding. can anyone help me recover that code?
