I have just started PSET5 and in the text section the specs says to run the staff implementation by typing ~cs50/pset5/speller texts/austinpowers.txt but I am getting an error "Could not open texts/austinpowers.txt."

Any help would much be appreciated

  • Thanks for accepting my answer! I take it, then, that you could not open the file because you did not supply the correct path to it, relative to your current working directory. Was that it?

    I was in the workspace instead of pset5 directory

What is your current working directory? (I think you can find out by typing cwd in the Terminal.)

What are the permissions on austinpowers.txt? You can find out by typing ls -l ~/workspace/pset5/texts in the Terminal.
