Trying to make search function. Evidently I am missing the boat and dont know how to set up a function correctly. Care to comment on how to put search and sort together so it comes out helpers.h?

This is what I get: ank2251@ide50:~/workspace/pset3/find $ make sub clang -ggdb3 -O0 -std=c99 -Wall -Werror sub.c -lcs50 -lm -o sub /usr/bin/ld: /usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/crt1.o(.debug_info): relocation 0 has invalid symbol index 11 /usr/bin/ld: /usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/crt1.o(.debug_info): relocation 1 has invalid symbol inde

  • What is "sub"? What are you trying to compile?

Could it be that you implemented the required functions in new files? You should just complete helpers.c, you don't need any new file to do it.

  • I hear you but when I gut the programs and stick them together I have a bad feeling. In essence you are saying take out main and just save as a text file with a dot "h"?? Commented Oct 31, 2015 at 3:11
