Whenever i try to compile the program in the cs50 ide this error shows up- make: *** No rule to make target 'string'. Stop.

Can someone please help me out. Thanks! The error that shows up in the terminal

That error means that it can not find string.c in the directory your terminal is attached to. Are you sure you have such a file in your ~ folder? If not, use cd to move to the correct one.
