I think I'm missing something very simple, but my extra feature page doesn't show up on my website. I already did chmod for the files, but how can I make another page, like Buy and Sell? Thank you!

This question is pretty vague, but if you have been following the walkthrough in the problem specification then you should know what to do to make a new page.

Take special note of the register example.

The Pspec tells us to use the Terminal, change directory to ~/workspace/pset7/views/ and copy an existing View into a new file.

Then, edit the new View so that the form's action attribute calls a new Controller.

Finally, create that Controller in ~/workspace/pset7/public/ and add some code to make it interact with the Model (the database.)

Admittedly, this is a very general overview of the process, but it should be roughly applicable to any new feature you want to add to the website.

  • Hello! I meant to ask how to make the page show up on the website. I can get to the page if I manually type in the website (ide50-username.cs50.io/deposit.php), but how can I make a page link show up, right below the "CS50 Finance" sign? (next to quote, buy, sell, history etc.)

This question is very old, but if someone is reading this for the same problem, this answer may help. To get the page link to show up the new link needs to be added to the following session.userid list in layout.html. After /history add the same list class for href="/deposit">Deposit<

     <ul class="navbar-nav mr-auto mt-2">
        <li class="nav-item"><a class="nav-link" href="/quote">Quote</a></li>
        <li class="nav-item"><a class="nav-link" href="/buy">Buy</a></li>
        <li class="nav-item"><a class="nav-link" href="/sell">Sell</a></li>
        <li class="nav-item"><a class="nav-link" href="/history">History</a></li>
    </ul>
