One: I have very poor internet connection and I want to know if there's a way to use cs50 IDE offline.

Two: I fooled around some with the get_(user input) functions and found that you can do this for example:

get_int("Please input an int:");

instead of this, witch is what he was teaching:

printf("Please input an int:");
get_int();

Why did he teach the longer way instead of the shorter way? Thanks in advance!! :)

1) Yes, CS50 offline IDE exists, you can download and read about it here - https://manual.cs50.net/ide/offline

2) I think, Dan wanted to show how printf and get_int work separatly, to explain each of them thoroughly.

  • Thank, just to clarify: cs50 doesn't matter witch one you use? (for question 2) Commented Aug 30, 2017 at 0:00
  • Absolutely! The only thing that matters is whether check50 function receive the desired output. Commented Aug 30, 2017 at 0:18
